It isn't right to be applying untested and highly toxic substances to your own food source, however in Ghana, they have highlighted this as a massive problem. The initial price of the pesticides may lure untrained farmers into buying them, but the knock-on effects are perilous. People should be safe in the knowledge that the food they eat has been grown the right way and workers in the farming industry should not be in danger of harmful effects from counterfeit pesticides.
